At a time smartphone display sizes seem to be pitching at 5-inches as the minimum, Sony Xperia X Compact comes with a 4.6-inch HD Trilumious display with 1280 x 720 resolution. The design looks like acompact, mini version of the Xperia X but because of the compact size, and the fact that there is a large battery inside, the Xperia X Compact has a thickness of 9.5mm.
The Sony Xperia X Compact comes powered by a Hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor with Adreno 510 GPU. This is supported by a 3GB RAM and 32GB of built-in storage which can be notched up to 256GB via microSD card. The phone has a separate SD slot from the SIM and even at that there is only one nano SIM slot on the device.
On the camera end, the Sony Xperia X Compact features a mammoth 23-megapixel rear Sony IMX300 sensor with Triple Image Sensing tech (color + phase + laser detection). The SteadyShot Intelligent Active Mode is also available stabilizing the picture in five different axes and up front, there is a 5-megapixel front facing camera as well. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor and under the hood, there is a 2700mAh battery.

The Xperia X Compact comes in three color variants, namely Universe Black, Mist Blue, and White. The price of the smartphone is not yet available and will be officially announced soon.
