The smartphone company known as Sugar has released two smartphones in the month of January 2019. Although Sugar is not a household name in smartphone manufacturing world, the company scored good on this one.

Apart from the large RAM and internal storage space the phone comes with; there are other very good aspects as well, such as the display size, the resolution, the battery, and the camera makeup. Let’s jump in fully into the device and see the design, display, price, availability, and other aspects of the phone.

Design and Display

As usual, this phone comes as a bar shaped device, lacking waterproof technology. The dimensions are 75.4 x 158.5 x 11.2 mm and the weight specification is 210 grams which is due to a large battery. For the buyer, this phone was released in two colors of blue and red. You can get both in fancy looks.

Two cameras can be found in this device. To the rear is 12.19 MP that can produce 4032 x 3024 pixels of image which will be large and clear enough. The video performance is 1920 x 1080 pixels. Of course, there is dual LED flash for the camera. That works for both front and rear cameras. The front camera is a composition is 7.99 MP. The cameras come with an array of nice features such as auto focus, touch focus, HDR, panorama and others.

Hardware & Software

Starting with software or operating system, this Sugar C21 smartphone comes with Android OS v8.1 Oreo which means that the phone was not setting the pace for 2019. Also, it could come with a firmware that can update from Oreo Android to the latest Android Pie. At the hardware department, we find ARM Cortex A53, cores 8. That’s the CPU. For the GPU there is Qualcomm Adreno 506.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

Storage capacity looks good at 4GB of RAM which cannot be expanded, whereas the internal storage is 64GB which can be increased with a microSD card. For the Sugar C21, sensors are proximity, light, accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, and fingerprint.

Network and Connectivity

This Sugar C21 smartphone is 4G enabled, which means that it can handle GSM for 2G, HSPA for 3G, and LTE for 4G. Location determines which one will show up on your phone because the phone has capacity to automatically switch from network to network. There is dual nano SIM enabled for use in the device.

Other connectivity components include Wi-Fi, hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, A-GPS, BeiDou, but there’s no NFC, while there is headphone jack for it.
