Tambo TA-2 Specs Review, Price, Camera, Performance Features

Tambo TA-2 has been quietly released in the month of December 2018 as a line up to the Tambo series lately. This is a 4G Android smartphone that arrives with many features, with some of these scaled back to allow the device to reach people with low budgets.

Unfortunately, even though this smartphone really wanted to imitate modern features, it comes with Android Nougat which by smartphone standards is a dated operating system. However, there other good sides to the device and we are going to examine them below.

This review will put into consideration design, camera, performance, battery, network, and other features of Tambo TA-2.

Tambo TA-2 Design and Display

The body design of this device is plastic and dimensions are 143.8 x 71.7 x 9.5 mm and it weighs 150 grams. It comes in four colors – black, gold, rose gold, and silver. However, this phone is not a water resistant device, it has no fingerprint sensor and it also no face recognition technology.

Android OS v7.0 Nougat is the operating system in the device. No hope that this Android will upgrade to Android 9 Pie in the future. In addition, Spreadtrum SC9832 chipset comes with it and works with 28nm process technology. However, there is 32-bit architecture for the device as well. Going further at the performance department, the CPU is 1.3 GHz Quad-core Cortex A7, while the GPU is Mali 400 MP2.

Storage Capacity and Sensors

The memory of the phone is 1GB of RAM which cannot be expanded. Further, there is also a good 8GB internal storage in the device. The user can increase internal storage space externally to 64GB with micro-SD card. Accelerometer, proximity, and ambient light are the sensors found inside the Tambo TA-2.

Supported networks in Tambo TA-2 are GSM, HSPA, and LTE. It means that this phone is a 4G device but it also works with 2G and 3G networks. Furthermore, there is provision for two nano SIM card slots. There is no space for a hybrid SIM in this device.

Other connectivity components are Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, headphone jack, and micro USB 2.0. This device has no infrared, NFC, and no HDMI.
