Tecno Camon 11 Pro VS Tecno Camon CX Plus – Some Changes Has Been Made

The Tecno Camon 11 Pro was launched in November 2018 while the Tecno Camon CX Plus was launched in November 2016. Both phones are from the same brand and they are from the Camon series which is mainly focusing on offering good cameras to users.  The Camon CX Plus is still available and the phone is now more affordable than before, while the Camon 11 Pro is just stepping it foot in the Nigeria market so it’s more expansive than it’s rival. Apart from that, the phone also sports a modern design with a bigger screen size and impressive cameras as well. We will be looking at the Tecno Camon 11 Pro and the Tecno Camon CX Plus comparison to see which one has an edge over another.

Tecno Camon 11 Pro VS Tecno Camon CX Plus- Design Comparison

In terms of design, the Tecno Camon 11 Pro is looking more beautiful and stunning. The handset has a nice body design that sports a smooth panel that houses dual cameras and LED flash. The phone also parades a notch on the front with small bezels that gave way to a bigger and higher display ratio. It measures 153.7 x 74.5 x 8.5 mm and weighs 154 gram. Meanwhile, the Tecno Camon CX Plus might seem outdated with the thick bezels found on the top and bottom of the front screen. The phone is not that bad though because the dark screen is covering the bezels. It has a single rear camera with an LED flash and it does not have a notch on the front. It measures 153.8 x 75.5 x 7.6 mm in dimensions and weight 154 gram. Both phones have a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and they are available in multiple colors as well.

The Tecno Camon 11 Pro has a display screen size of 6.2 inches with a resolution of 720 x 1500 pixels and 268 PPI density, while the Tecno Camon CX Plus has a screen size of 5.5 inches with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and 267 PPI density. Both phones are equipped with IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and a display protection as well. The Tecno Camon 11 Pro wins with a sharper screen and a higher screen to body ratio as well.

The Tecno Camon 11 Pro has a dual rear camera of 16 MP (f/2.0, AF) + 5 MP (depth sensor) with quad-LED flash, whereas the Tecno Camon CX Plus has a rear camera of 16 MP (f/2.0, 24mm, 1/2.3″) with PDAF and Quad-LED flash. Both phones will shoot the same 1080p@30fps video resolution. On the front, the Tecno Camon 11 Pro has an impressive front facing camera of 24 MP with f/2.0, 1080p@30fps, Face ID and dual-LED flash, while the Tecno Camon CX Plus has a front camera of 5 MP with f/2.0, 720p, and LED flash as well. The Tecno Camon 11 Pro will take better photos than it’s rival.

The Tecno Camon 11 Pro has a MediaTek MT6762 Helio P22 chipset with an Octa-core 2.0 GHz while the Tecno Camon CX Plus has a MediaTek MT6750 chipset with an Octa-core that clocked at 1.5 GHz. The Camon 11 Pro runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU, while the Camon CX Plus runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Mali-T860MP2 GPU. The Camon 11 Pro has huge RAM of 6GB with an inbuilt memory of 64GB, while the Camon CX Plus has 3GB RAM with internal memory of 32GB. You can still expand their memory with a micro SD card as well.

The Tecno Camon 11 Pro has a nonremovable battery capacity of 3750 mAh, while the Tecno Camon CX Plus has a nonremovable battery capacity of 3200 mAh. The Tecno Camon 11 Pro will sell at a price of $190, while the Tecno Camon CX Plus is selling at a price of $145.

Our Verdict:

The Tecno Camon 11 Pro will surely perform better than the Camon CX Plus.  Even on the design, display and the camera, the phone is ahead of the Camon CX Plus. The Camon CX Plus is still a better budget phone. However, if you have the money, it’s time to upgrade to a better phone with the latest design and operating system.
