TECNO L8 Lite is a whittled down version of the Tecno L8 and L8 Plus that was released last year. With some reduction in specs and a price review, let’s see how much a chip off the old block the Tecno L8 Lite is.
DESIGN

Structurally, the Tecno L8 Lite has a whole lot of differentiating factors from its older brothers (the L8 and L8 Plus).
Asides the fact that this device is small and more easy to grip and hold, the neatly designed rear is also something you would love, at the very first sight I must say. The rear design is somewhat similar to that of the Innjoo Halo Plus but it definitely has its own share of uniqueness.
The black pane that houses the primary camera and LED flash sits horizontally at the top. The conspicuous TECNO logo sits at the middle (not exactly at the middle though) and the speaker is almost close to the bottom.Like the L8 and L8 Plus, the Power/Lock button and volume adjustment buttons are on the right side of the device. Also, at the top, the 3.5mm headphone jack can be seen while it the USB charging port is just at the device’s bottom.
DISPLAY
The L8 and L8 Plus both had 5.5-inch screens. The L8 Lite, as expected, has a lower display screen size.
The Tecno L8 Lite has a 5 inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen. The display with a 720 x 1280 resolution has good colour reproduction with the perfect colour saturation as well. The display is well resoluted and the pixel density also ensure the output of crystal clear images to the eye.
PROCESSOR & OS
The L8 Lite is powered by a MediaTek 6572 Quadcore processor. This processor can handle low-level device operations without a glitch. Some high-end games and application may however not play smoothly on the L8 Lite, not even with the tiny 1GB RAM.
In an improved feat, the L8 Lite comes out of the box with Android v6.0 Marshmallow. Talk about being better than you fathers here. With the default battery and storage optimization that comes with the Android 6.0, expect nothing but fluidity of process and longer run time on your L8 Lite.
Furthermore, you get 16GB of Internal storage to store data, files, app data and information on the L8 Lite.
CAMERA
In the camera department, the L8 Lite is not much different from its predecessors. Sporting a rare 8MP camera that takes nice, clear, properly lighted and well focused shots is a thing deserving an applause.
There is a 2MP selfie shooter on the front that impressively has a LED flash (which the L8 and L8 plus didn’t) for improved low and high light selfie shots. Now you can take those fine, bright and natural selfies for the gram with no editing or tweaking. Hashtag #NoFilter
BATTERY
We were all WOWed when the L8 launched with 5,050mAh battery pack. Everyone wanted it. I mean, with the epileptic power supply drowning the nation, who wouldn’t want a device that can run for more that 24hours?
Well, battery-wise, the L8 Lite is a junior. Having only 4,000mAh battery is very good too! In fact, be rest assured you can get 24 hours of usage on the L8 Lite too!
CONCLUSION
The Tecno L8 Lite is a device targeted at those who crave the L8 for a reason or two but couldn’t afford it or just thought he device was too big and bulky. Retaining some major specs like camera, RAM & ROM as well as some improved feature like the out of the box Android v6.0 Marshmallow, TECNO is here to get you on board.

well it’s absolutely fabulous but one thing it lack is supporting 3G network. as a youth we highly depend on the internet I tried to change it from 2G to 3G but to no avail. whenever I do that the network is no longer displayed.even for calling or sms.and if I change it to 3G/2G(auto) still it’s poor and display the “E” instead of “H+ or 4G” why? does this means it doesn’t support 3G network mode.hope to hear from you guys soon.

I can’t say if the phone is strong. Hope you know the diasdvantge of inbuilt battery? So that might be the case. I just got mine on Thursday though. At first the battery was running so fast and I felt so discourage but I was told that it’s because I didn’t charge it after I had purchased it, though after the second charging, I can say it got better. Though the challenge I am having now is with the camera. It is not sharp atall so plz I am asking is there any thing that I can do to make it better or…

How do I pick a call on tecno L8 lite
I admit that the review is quite factual. But, I got my techno l8 lite just a month ago. I was quite shocked when the phone stopped working, as in, got blind till now. I was beaten thoroughly by rainfall and it managed to get into the bag i was carrying… the water touched some part of the phone and that was it! not like it got soaked in the water but as i am writing this right now, my phone cannot power. could this mean that the phone is not strong?
