The 6.1″ iPhone will come in several colors, but not in red

Earlier this month, the popular analyst Ming-Chi Kuo published a new report in which he claimed that Apple planned the launch of the 6.1-inch iPhone with LCD screen in a variety of colors. Now, the Japanese site Macotakara corroborates that Apple will launch that iPhone in new colors, however, what remains unclear is in what colors this new device will be available.

In what colors will the 6.1″ iPhone be available?

Originally, Kuo had reported that the 6.1-inch iPhone will come in gold, gray, white, blue, red and orange. Contradicting in part these predictions, Macotakara assures, alluding to sources in Apple’s supply chain, that the iPhone of 2018 with a 6.1-inch LCD screen will arrive in a variety of colors similar to those of the line of iPhone X leather cases.

The report says that the 6.1-inch iPhone is likely to be marketed in white, black, yellow “light”, bright orange, electric blue, taupe or gold. This is similar to the color line already offered with the iPhone 5c, which was offered in green, blue, yellow, pink and white.

However, Macotakara does not mention the color red as Kuo had predicted. All a task for which we had already decided its acquisition in this colorful and supportive color, however, we must not forget that Apple may save that option for a mid-year release, as it has done the last two years with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8.

Macotakara’s predictions:

  • White
  • Black
  • Yellow “flash”
  • Bright orange
  • Electric blue
  • Brown-gray

The predictions of Ming-Chi Kuo:

  • Gold
  • Gray
  • White
  • blue
  • Red
  • Orange

Anyway, it seems clear that the 6.1-inch iPhone 2018 with LCD will be the first device to offer a wide variety of colors from the iPhone 5c. And as Chance Miller deduces in 9to5Mac, “this would make sense since the iPhone 5c was at the lower end of the price level, just as the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone is expected to be.”
