Since Apple has finally launched the much-coveted Apple Card, Apple fans like me just can’t run out of excitement and getting one for ourselves is definitely high up on our priority list. However, while we have been excited about getting to use our new credit cards, there are money vultures and thieves out there who are looking for ways to get their hands on people’s new credit cards as well. In any case, if you lose your Apple Card or it gets stolen, you could immediately report and request for a new card. This will automatically render your old card useless.
So if you lose your titanium Apple Card either to thieves, misplacement or damage, you would definitely need a new one for future transactions. Now, using the Wallet app, you can easily request a new titanium Apple Cards without having to call the bank and waiting for a response.
How to Request a Replacement Titanium Apple Card
- First off, go to the Wallet app on your iPhone.
- Next up, tap on Apple Card and then tap on the More info icon at the top right corner of the screen.
- Now, you need to scroll down the screen until you see the Physical Card option. Tap on it and then tap on Request Replacement Card.
- Now, follow the instructions you see on your screen to confirm your request.
If you have already requested a replacement card but then you find your old card which you misplaced, you can easily cancel your request for a replacement. Follow the steps below to do this.
How to Cancel Your Request for Titanium Apple Card
- Go to the Wallet app on your iPhone and then tap on Apple Card.
- Next, tap on the More info icon and send a message to Apple Support to cancel your request.
Note- You can repeat the steps if you wish to cancel your request for your physical Apple Card altogether. Even if this is the first time you requested a card. You can request a card at any time you wish in the future.
If the name on your Apple Card is misspelled or you have changed your name, you can get the name on your card changed as well. Now, the chances of you getting this done are very thin. However, if you are to get it done at all, you should follow the steps below.
How to Change the Name on Apple Card
- Go to the Wallet app on your iPhone and then tap on Apple Card.
- Next up, tap on the More info icon at the top right corner of your screen.
- Tap on the Message button.
- Now, compose a message requesting a change in your Account name.
- Once you are done, hit Send.
Once the account name on your account has been changed, you will have to request for a new card which will sport your new Account name.
Now, you must learn to keep your Apple Card safe just as you should any other credit card. It lands in the wrong hands and you stand a chance of going bankrupt.
