Design
The Plastic rear cover is simply stunning, you won’t have a clue it’s Plastic at first glance. Furthermore, it sports simply design at the rear with no fingerprint scanner anywhere on the device. At the top, we can see the rear camera, LED flash and Neffos logo.
Turning over to the sides, it’s quite bulky, measuring 9.7mm in thickness. But when it boils down to weight, it weighs just 160g overall which should be easy enough to hold and operate. It’s available in Gray color only.
Display
Although it isn’t bezel-less, it has quite an interesting screen to body ratio. TP-Link had to claim their territory at the bottom bezel, while the top houses the usual features. The bottom here is still visible but it should offer taller visuals in landscape mode nonetheless.
The 5-inch FWVGA IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen displays as a budget smartphone it is. With a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and 196 pixel per inch density, don’t expect perfect visuals with this though. The screen stretches up to 65.83% screen to body ratio.

Hardware and Software
Working underneath is the MediaTek MT6737M chip with Quad-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 4-Cores of processor here runs at the usual speed of 1.25GHz with 28nm process technology. In the graphics department, the ARM Mali-T720 MP2 graphics processor comes with just a single core and clocks at 550MHz.
Even though just 1GB of RAM space is available here, it should multitask pretty well with a memory speed of 640MHz. While the 8GB storage space meant for storing files can be upgraded up to 128GB storage space. Runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Neffos UI 7.0 skin on top.
Camera
The 5MP rear shooter has f/2.0 aperture and captures photographs with 2592 x 1944 pixels in dimension. The camera boasts of a dual-LED flash and other features, recording videos of 720 pixels at 30 frames per second. While the 2MP selfie camera has a LED flash as well.

Battery
Powering the TP-Link Neffos C5S is a 2340mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. Even without the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take up to 2.3 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
