Upcoming iPhone looks more like Android clone than iPhone X

After the launch of the iPhone X, quite a few Android devices surfaced with the famous notch in no time. You can see with most of these devices, however, that it is not the real iPhone X, because they have not copied the bottom and are still equipped with a decent edge at the bottom. According to new messages, it might be better than the upcoming LCD iPhone to look like one of these Android clones.

No border required by flexible Samsung display

The reason that the device with a somewhat larger edge on the bottom would come, would have to do with the fact that an LCD screen is used. Apple used reasonably flexible OLED displays from Samsung for the original iPhone X, which can bend slightly at the bottom. This allows the display controller to be placed on the screen and the bottom edge is not necessary.

Thicker edge through LCD screen

The notchy Android devices that we have seen appear do not use these displays on the other side. That is why they have a slightly less borderless design at the bottom. Of course, the price also plays a part and an edge at the bottom is cheaper. Since the cheaper iPhone, this year is not equipped with Samsung’s OLED display, the chances are that the device looks more like an Android notch smartphone than the iPhone X.

LCD iPhone without 3D touch

The device would also not take over other things from the iPhone X, to reduce the price. Would the LCD iPhone have no 3D touch feature and be made of a different kind of metal. In addition, the phone would not be equipped with a double camera at the back.

Upgrade massively to LCD device

However, it is expected that people will massively upgrade to the relatively cheap aircraft. Many people would not have done that last year because of the high price of the iPhone X. Analyst Jun Zhan expects that Apple this year will produce 60 million copies of the LCD model, compared to 50 million devices with an OLED display. That would be the new iPhone X and iPhone X Plus.
