The year 2017 has seen a lot of bezel-less smartphones and its users around the world seem to like the idea of a bigger screen to body ratio. Leaders of smartphone OEMs like Samsung, iPhone, LG and others have all have their version of a bezel-less device. The increased display space is a nice experience and makes viewing much more fun. Like most beautiful things of this world they cost a whole lot more than the average phones, you have around. However, there are cheaper Chinese versions which is where the Vernee Mix 2 comes in.
The Vernee Mix 2 is a tri bezel-less smartphones modelled after the popular Xiaomi Mix 2. There is a number of ‘Mix’ smartphones from smaller Chinese smartphones OEMs like the Doogee Mix, Leagoo KICAA Mix and others.
DESIGN AND DISPLAY
This is another good looking smartphone that comes in the bezel-less skin, the Vernee Mix 2 is a more refined with more rounded edges. The smartphone looks very much like the Doogee Mix device with a more bigger screen. The device has a dimension of 157 x 72.7 x 8.2 mm with a metal frame and weighs an average of 196g alongside a glass-covered back. The total build gives the smartphones a premium look with similar to high-end devices.
Vernee Mix 2 comes with a 6-inches 2160 x 1080 full HD OLED display with IPS technology. The aspect ratio stands at 18:9 which is similar to what you have in Samsung S8, iPhone 8 and some other high-end smartphones. Opposed to the bezel-less display portrayed by the Chinese company there are tiny frames at the side and the top. The screen has a pixel density of 402ppi and a screen to body ratio of 77.3%.
CPU, OS AND STORAGE
Running the show on the inside is MediaTek’s Helio P25 octa-core processor which is one of the latest in the P series. The processor clocks at a maximum of 2.5GHz delivering a more smooth and a faster performance. In addition, there is a Mali T880 MP2 graphic processing unit to cater demanding games and more. It runs on its own VOS based on the recent Android 7.0. There are 4GB/6GB RAM variants incorporated with a 64GB internal storage to cater for your needs.
BATTERY AND CAMERA
The non-removable battery has a massive capacity of 4200mAh which supports MediaTek’s Pump Express quick charge technology. In the camera department, there is a combo of a dual rear 13MP camera with LED flashlight and an 8MP front camera.
