Vivo Xplay 5 Elite is World’s First Smartphone with 6GB RAM

Wow! A whooping 6 gig ram for a smartphone. Want to know what that is all about? Read on! Vivo, a Chinese smartphone company held a special event where it announced a new line of flagship smartphones. The latest release includes two smartphones – Vivo Xplay 5 and Vivo Xplay 5 Elite.

This beast Vivo Xplay 5 Elite is made in a metal housing and is equipped with a 5.43-inch curved on both sides Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, which is covered with a protective glass Gorilla Glass 4. The novelty is constructed on a single platform and Snapdragon 820. It is the world’s first smartphone with 6 GB RAM. For data storage device can offer 128 GB of internal memory, but without the possibility of extension.

The back camera of the  Xplay 5 Elite is based on the 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 sensor and is equipped with a phase autofocus and dual LED flash. Front is allocated an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Novelty has two slots for SIM-cards and supports work in LTE networks. It is also equipped with audio subsystem Hi-Fi 3.0 (2 * ES9028 + OPA1612), 3600 mAh battery on and a fingerprint scanner, which is located on the back side.

Xplay 5 Elite is powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop coated with the latest version of the user interface Funtouch. The smartphone will be available in China for about $655 on 8th March.
