The Vivo Y21L is a compact smartphone with specifications not too low-end and definitely not high-end, and a price tag that is considered as too high for the features the smartphone has to offer, especially when compared to other smartphones in its class.

Display & Design
The Vivo Y21L is a compact device, featuring a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS Touchscreen display with pixel resolution of 854 * 480.
The phone is designed with plastic and has three capacitive navigation buttons. The back is curved and slightly textured to make it feel comfortable in the hands. It is 9.2mm thick and weighs 145 grams.
Memory & Performance
As you would expect, the Vivo Y21L comes with 1GB of RAM capacity and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable with micro SD up to 128GB, a rather odd number for such low storage.
The Vivo Y21L packs a 1.2GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor under the hood, and further extends its functionality with a Mali 400 MP2 GPU.
Battery
The Vivo Y21L runs on a 2,000mAh Lithium-ion battery, like most other budget smartphones.
Connectivity
The Vivo Y21L fully supports 4G LTE network connectivity with added Voice over LTE (VoLTE) capability. It comes with a dual-SIM slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack, and supports FM Radio.
Apart from those, the phone has the common connectivity features including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth version 4.0 and GPS.
Camera
The Vivo Y21L sports a 5MP rear camera accompanied by a LED flash for visibility in low-light conditions. Coupled with that is a 2MP camera unit at the front.
Software and Hardware
The Y21L boots Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, with FunTouch OS version 2.0 built on it.
The smartphone has an accelerometer, proximity sensor and light sensor positioned beside the front camera.
