Walton Primo X5 has just bounced into our lives lately as it entered the smartphone market mid-December 2018. This 4G Android phone has its own strong points such as strong battery, superb performance and this is a smartphone that comes with plenty of space on the RAM side.
So, when you look at the Walton Primo X5, you may not see it as an entry-level smartphone but something like a mid-ranger, which it’s really not. Of course, the display resolution shows that the device shows it could be a mid-range one.

Design and Display of Walton Primo X5
Body design of this smartphone is both plastic and metallic with a glassy front. Dimensions are 159.58 x 74.3 x 8.4 mm and it weighs 166 grams. It comes in only one color at the moment and it is blue. However, this phone is not a water resistant device but has fingerprint sensor and face recognition technology.
At the front it sports a 5.99 inches IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, which comes without a secondary display. Further, it comes with 2160 x 1080 pixels of screen resolution. Pixel density is 403 ppi, 18:9 aspect ratio, and 78.4 percent screen to body ratio.
Camera Features
Features on this side are dual rear camera of 13 MP plus 5 MP. They come with dual LED flash. For selfies, there is 16 MP which has face recognition technology. The video performance is 1080p@30fps FHD recording option.
Camera features include geotagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, auto focus, watermark and HDR.
Walton Primo X5 Hardware and Software
Android OS v8.1 Oreo is the operating system in the device. In addition, MediaTek MT6763V Helio P23 chipset is found herein and it works with 16nm process technology, and 64-architecture, CPU is Octa-core, while the GPU is Mali-G71 MP2.
Storage Capacity and Sensors
There is a good 6GB of RAM which cannot be expanded in this device. Further, there is 64GB internal storage level. The user can increase internal storage space externally to 256GB with micro-SD card. Sensors in the Walton Primo X5 are digital compass, accelerometer, proximity, light, fingerprint, and gyro.
