Xgody D28 is very much like the other Xgody smartphones- Created with minimal intentions, expected to keep features very simple for those on a budget and youths who just want to play around with a smartphone.
This device comes as a 3G Android device. As such, both the camera and battery levels are commensurate with performance and price. The Xgody D28 has been released in the month of December 2018 and it is available for purchase.
However, we are interested in laying bare the full specification of the Xgody D28 such as camera, price, design, display, battery, network support, and other parameters of the phone in this review.
Xgody D28 Design and Display
The device arrives with plastic body design just like many other Xgody products. Dimensions are 155 x 75 x 8 mm. Further, it comes in three colors of black, gold, and red. It is not a water resistant device, has no fingerprint sensor and also has no face recognition technology.
Display type is IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, which comes without a secondary display. The display screen size is 5.5 inches, pixel density is 200 ppi, and pixel resolution is 960 x 540. Further, display colors in the device are 16 million, while it remains a multi-touch phone.
Other good features include 2.5D curved glass, and 71.9 percent screen to body ratio.
Camera Features
There is a simple primary rear camera of 5 MP which comes with LED flash. But to the front, the camera setup is 2 MP. The front camera, made for selfies is without LED flash option. However, video performance is of 720p@30fps FHD recording.
Other outstanding features of the cameras are geotagging, auto focus, touch focus, panorama, HDR, time lapse, and face detection.
Hardware and Software
Android OS v7.0 Nougat comes with Xgody D28 as the operating system. This may not be able to upgrade to the latest Android operating system. Also, MediaTek MT6580M chipset is found in it, together with process technology 28nm and 32-bit architecture.
The CPU comprises of 1.3 GHz Quad-core Cortex A7, while the GPU is Mali 400 MP2.
Storage Capacity and Sensors of Xgody D28
It is a simple composition of 1GB of RAM which cannot be expanded and the internal storage of 16GB can be increased through the use of micro-SD card slot up to 32GB external storage. Sensors found on the device are accelerometer, proximity, and ambient light.
Network and Connectivity
This is a 3G Android phone which means that Xgody D28 operates effectively on GSM and HSPA networks. In other words, 2G and 3G are usable in the smartphone. Also, for easy operation, there are two nano SIM card slots in the device. It cannot operate with hybrid or mini SIM cards.
Other relevant components are Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, headphone jack, and micro USB 2.0. However, there is no HDMI, NFC, or infrared in the device.

Powering the Xgody D28 is a normal Li-Ion 2500 mAh removable battery which does not come with wireless charging and no fast charging technology. However, the talk time and standby time is up to 20 hours and up to 168 hours respectively.
