The Xiaomi Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Edition has now been unveiled by the company. This is a collaboration between Xiaomi and Vocaloid as they released a special edition of the Mi 6X dedicated to Hatsune Miku, a Vocaloid software voicebank.
Hatsune Miku is now a popular character that fans are waiting to have anime dedicated to her. The device comes with a turquoise 10,000mAh power bank inside the box, there’s also a semi-transparent case and a gift card, all engraved with the character.
Design
The Mi 6X looks absolutely exquisite in turquoise color with the Hatsune Miku engraved on its body. There’s a fingerprint scanner just above the Hatsune Miku which grants biometric access to the device.
It sports dual rear camera at the top left corner with the LED flash sitting in-between. It also has dual curved antenna lines at the top and bottom corner, measures just 7.3mm in thickness and weighs 168g.
Display
Of course, this special edition could have been more better with a notch, but Xiaomi wanted to keep it simple and make it look like the 6X. It has a 18:9 aspect ratio screen with lots of Hatsune Miku exclusive themes.
The 5.99-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is perfect for watching movies, reading and playing games as well. Bringing out clear details with its 1080 x 2160 pixels in resolution and 403 pixel per inch density.
Hardware and Software
Running the race underneath, the Snapdragon 660 gets the job done. It was built on a 14nm process technology for better battery efficiency. The 8-cores of processor on this device clocks at a fast speed of 2.2GHz. While the Adreno 512 takes care of graphics.
It has a standard version of 6GB RAM for multitasking and 64GB storage space. Only 5,000 pieces of this special edition were created and they all have the space RAM and storage. There’s no microSD slot to upgrade the storage any further. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with MIUI 9.5 skin on top.
Camera
It sports dual shooters at the rear, the 12MP + 20MP combination at the rear should take amazing photographs. The first 12MP lens on top has f/1.8 aperture,1/2.9″ sensor size and 1.25µm pixel size. While the 20MP telephoto shooter has f/1.8 aperture, 1/2.8″ sensor size, 1.0µm pixel size.
Other features on the camera includes phase detection autofocus, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama with a LED flash in-between. It shoots 4K videos @30fps and 720p@120fps, while the 20MP selfie camera has f/1.8 aperture, 1/2.8″ sensor size, 1.0µm pixel size with support for Auto-HDR.
Battery
Powering the Xiaomi Mi 6X Hatsune Miku Edition is a 3010mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 1.8 hours.
