Imagine a Xiaomi phone that has Samsung’s input and the display is equipped with triple as much features as most phones possess! That is what Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition is all about. The device has not been officially announced but there are full information about it online.

The nicest thing about the phone is the screen protection. Though it is not a rugged smartphone, it is equipped with Gorilla Glass 6, the highest of its kind till now. But a full specs review is what is needed to justify the features of this phone.

Design and Display

Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition arrives in aluminum and glass body design. Dimensions are 155 x 75 7.6 mm and the weight is not specified. It comes in black, blue, gold, and white colors. Additionally, it has no waterproof protection, there’s a fingerprint sensor and face recognition technology.

Also, it is a 6.04 inches screen of Super AMOLED capacitive multi-touch screen, which comes without a secondary display but comes with display protection. There are nine sensors in the phone and they are accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, compass, fingerprint, gyro, infrared, barometer, and hall.

Network and Connectivity

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition is supported by GSM, CDMA, TD-SCDMA, HSPA and LTE, so it is having 2G, 3G, 4G a 5G available for internet connectivity and other uses. This makes the device a 5G compliant mobile device that has dual nano SIM card slot.

Expectedly, network supports of the device are Bluetooth v5.0, infrared, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, NFC, headphone jack and USB v3.0, Type C 1.0 reversible connector. Evidently, there is no HDMI in the device.

The battery of the phone is a good one at a Li-Po 3500 mAh non-removable that has no wireless charging and has fast charging technology. Talk time and standby time are not specified herein.
