Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is getting the stable version of Android 9 Pie

After the beta version, which came just over a month ago, it is now the turn of the stable version. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is indeed starting to receive Android 9.0 Pie thanks to the latest MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM now being launched.

The new update, which comes in the form of MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM v10.0.3.0 PDGMIFH, also includes the Android security patches for the month of September and the new features of Android Pie.

Several users of Mi Mix 2S have already reported receiving Android Pie update. However, the new version is implemented in several phases and it may take some time for it to reach all devices. The new development, as mentioned before, comes after the Mi Mix 2S has previously received the Android P beta via MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM version 8.9.7.

In addition to the September patches, the update features the new main features of MIUI 10, such as the Portrait mode based on artificial intelligence and the new Recent apps and MIUI Notes.

The user who wishes to check for the latest update on his Mi Mix 2S can do so by going to Settings> About phone> System update. Alternatively, you can download the Android Pie Recovery ROM which brings the latest MIUI 10 to Mi Mix 2S. It is always a good idea to back up your data before starting the upgrade process.

As many will remember, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is among the phones that are part of the Google Project Treble, which was designed and built with the aim of enabling faster software updates. The handset is also part of those models that were selected for the Android P Beta program earlier this year.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is a smartphone powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, paired with an Adreno 630 GPU, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory.
