Over the next few weeks, Xiaomi plans to release its new series of ultra-high-end TVs. These TVs are expected to rival the likes of Samsung, Sony, and LG. Xiaomi already has the new Xiaomi MasterTV series scheduled for release on the 2nd of July. A company official has revealed some of the TVs’ specs.
Xiaomi recently teased the Master TV series and it comes with an OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The TV also comes with a couple of gaming features as well as Dolby Atmos Audio. However, they revealed no other specs of the TV. However, Mr. Pan, a Xiaomi Manager, has let us in on some other specs the series will feature. These include NFC remote control, VRR (variable refresh rate) + ALLM (automatic low latency), HDMI 2.1 support, and Dolby Vision + Dolby Atmos.
He also revealed that the series will come with 4K 120Hz with MEMC technology, 4K 120Hz signal input, 4K 120Hz OLED panels, and 4K 120Hz VRR. The TV will be powered by a quad-core A73 custom processor which comes with support for all HDR formats with an emphasis on true HDR.
According to Lei Jun, founder of Xiaomi, the upcoming flagship TV will feature higher contrast image quality, clearer and richer colors, and an audio and video output that has been improved overall. Other details of the TV such as the size of the display or how much it will cost remain unknown for now. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait for long as the series will be launched at the conference on 2nd July.
