Xiaomi prepares first smartphone with reverse notch!

Reverse notch? In recent years, we have seen a trend of smartphones to show bigger screens. In fact, they are excellent for productivity and also for watching multimedia content. However, despite the high dimensions it is important to continue to be able to use these smartphones with only one hand. That’s exactly why it was necessary to shrink the frames. This is the only way we can get bigger screens without having to hold onto bricks.

Since the launch of the iPhone X in 2024, many smartphones have hit the market with a notch in the upper frame where the camera is located for selfies, the loudspeaker and in some cases some sensors. However, not everyone likes the famed notch. It was for this reason that some alternatives began to arrive on the market.

DONT MISS:

Is reverse notch an excellent idea on the part of Xiaomi?

Some of the trending phone designs are the pop-up cameras or sliding cameras. So you can create a true full-screen experience. However, there are also models with holes in the screen, as is an excellent example, Galaxy S10 range.

However, there are already those who look for the difference. Xiaomi who does not have a reputation for crossing their arms when it comes to innovations is exploring more possibilities.

Earlier this month, we came across a Xiaomi smartphone with a camera for selfies at the bottom of the screen. Now, this Chinese manufacturer has filed a patent in which the dual camera appears on the top of the device. As you can confirm in the image above, it’s a bit out of the ordinary.

This patent was submitted in the middle of 2018 and was published on April 23, 2019. That is, it is a fresh novelty!

The patent sketches show three Xiaomi models, which at least differ from each other. The main difference is in the reverse notch format. That is, it is not inside the screen but extends out from the chassis.

In fact, it looks like a kind of reverse design. The funniest thing is that it really has a unique look like a smiling face. 🙂

In fact, the differences between the three patented smartphone models are just the placement of the dual front camera.

The device is also equipped with double cameras on the back. In two of the three models, the back is smooth. In the third model, there is a small curve on both sides of the device.

No fingerprint sensor can be seen. It will eventually be integrated into the screen.
