Allview P8 Pro launched with 3000mAh Battery – Review, Full Specs and Price

Allview P8 Pro was launched on Valentine’s day by the OEM. This is coming two years after the P8 Energy Pro made its debut with over 5000mAh of battery. The new device comes with a much lower battery capacity and focuses on those on a budget. Unlike its predecessor, the P8 Pro is affordable with amazing specs as well. Do you want to know if the device gives true value for money? Then, stay with me.

Design

Allview P8 Pro

Looks absolutely stunning, the body was made from metal and shines exquisitely when in contact with light reflection. It looks like an Infinix smartphone from the back, with the way the rear rear features were strategically placed. The rear camera, LED flash and fingerprint sensor are all in a vertical curvy shape foundation.

The Allview logo sits underneath the features, while the Allview inscription is at the bottom corner. By the right side, the volume keys and power button are very visible as it measures 8 mm slim. Furthermore, the device weighs 186g and available in only Gold color, because no other color could do much justice.

Display

There are no narrow bezels in sight here, the bezels are just at the top and bottom corner. The top bezel houses the selfie camera, ambient light sensor and speaker grille, while the bottom bezel is just there. The bezels could have been “less”, but that didn’t happen here.

The 5.5-inch FHD IPS LCD Capacitive touchscreen boasts of 1080×1920 pixels for immersive visuals. The pixel per inch density is sharp at 401, so gaming and watching movies will be top notch. The multi-touch screen got up to 72.7 screen to body ratio with full lamination technology. Protecting the screen and offering scratch resistant is the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Hardware and Software

It houses the MediaTek MT6737T chipset with Quad-Core processor, which clocks at 1.45GHz. It has a 64-bit CPU architecture, 28nm process technology and ARM Mali-T720 MP2 graphics processor. The graphics processor comes with 2-Cores and reaches a maximum speed of 600MHz.

Multitasking shouldn’t be a problem as long as you don’t go overboard with it. There’s a 2GB RAM space available for multitasking with a memory speed of 733 MHz for smooth app switching. If the 16GB internal storage space won’t be enough, you can always upgrade up to 128GB using microSD.

Camera

Don’t underestimate the 13MP rear shooter on this device, it has f/2.0 aperture and captures 4K resolution images. The photographs taken with the phone should before out great and boasts of 4160 x 3120 pixels in resolution.

The rear Sony IMX278 shooter, comes with Exmor RS RGBW Sensor, 1.133um pixel size, 0.23 inch sensor size. The dual-LED flash will help make your photos come alive in extremely dark places. For selfies, there’s an 8MP selfie camera with with no front flash, but nevertheless it should take quality selfies.

Battery

Allview P8 Pro houses a 3000mAh Non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. It might take up to 3 hours to fully charge up the device since it doesn’t have the feature.
