Recently, some users on both Reddit and Twitter have begun to complain about the problem with the new WatchOS 5.1 update, causing their Apple Watch devices to brick and hang the Apple logo.
Just after the launch of the new product series last night, Apple has officially released the WatchOS 5.1 update for Apple Watch devices. The new operating system includes an ECG feature for Watch Series 4 models in the US and also 70 new emoticons, FaceTime in groups, but not everyone is lucky after updating WatchOS 5.1.
According to a new report from 9To5Mac, some users on both Reddit and Twitter have begun to complain about issues with the new WatchOS update. More specifically, the new Watch 5.1 brings some Apple Watch devices to brick and hang the Apple logo. Unfortunately, at this point in time, there is no workaround. Many users have tried restarting both the Apple Watch and the iPhone or disconnecting the two devices, but that is still the case with Apple’s familiar apple logo.
It remains unclear how many Apple Watch users are affected by this problem. However, if you are an affected user, you need to contact Apple support right away and request a replacement device. Also, if you have not updated WatchOS 5.1 for your Apple Watch, you should temporarily stop updating and wait until Apple fixes this issue.
