Daydream is the virtual reality system that is developed by Google and although it is not even among the best-known systems that are currently marketed (like the Oculus Rift or PlayStation VR) is a milestone in the efforts of Mountain View in carrying out in the development of this technology.

What are the requirements of Daydream on Android 9 Pie
For high performance, the devices:
- They must have two physical cores
- Support sustained performance mode
- Have the option android.hardware.vr.high_performance
- Support H.264 decoding at least 3840 × 2160 at 30fps-40Mbps
- Support HEVC and VP9 decoding at least 1920 × 1080 at 30fps-10Mbps and should be able to decode at 3840 × 2160 at 30fps-20Mbps
- Highly recommended to support android.hardware.sensor.hifi_sensors and must have gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer and the requirements related to that utility
- The screen must have a ratio of at least Full HD and at least Quad HD (1440p) or higher is recommended
- You must update at least 60 Hz in virtual reality mode
- The sampling latency in Gray-to-Gray, White-to-Blach, and Black-to-White must be less than 3 ms
- Sampling must have a low persistence mode of at least less than 5 ms persistence
- The device implemented must support at least Bluetooth 4.2 and Bluetooth LE Data Length Extension

What Daydream devices are there?
Although for the moment Lenovo launched in May of this year, there has not been much development of this sector of third-party products for Daydream. Huawei announced in 2024 that they had one in development, while HTC also promised a peripheral for Daydream, which it finally ruled out in favor of its own project.
For its part, Google has its own version of the device, the Daydream View that was announced in 2016 and the Daydream View & AR that were announced a year later.
