Russian company DEXP released three smartphones yesterday, the DEXP Ixion ML450 Super Force, Ixion G150 and Ixion Z255. All of which are budget smartphones with a giveaway price tag, made specifically for those on a budget.
There’s something about the DEXP Ixion ML450 Super Force that makes it stand out of the pack. Houses a massive 8000mAh battery which the company claims could last more than 12 hours with heavy usage. Want to know more about the Super Force? Stay with me.
Design
Looks like a budget smartphone, you won’t have a clue how much battery capacity is inside this simple looking beast. Sports a Plastic body that’s such a beauty to look at and comfortable to hold. The rear camera and LED flash are horizontal at the top left corner, while the DEXP logo is at bottom.
Underneath the logo is a rear loudspeaker for quality music and bass. Only the Ixion G150 has a fingerprint scanner, the Super Force doesn’t sport any. Moving to the sides, it measures 15.7 mm in thickness which is really bulky, thanks to the battery. Nonetheless, it weighs 188g overall and available in only Black color.
Display
It comes with much bezels, the screen could only get up to 66.9% screen to body ratio. Very disappointing in 2024 no doubt, but the price might change your mind perhaps. Three navigation buttons are visible at the bottom bezel while the top bezel houses the selfie camera, ambient light sensor and speaker grille.
If you look closely to the sides, it has sleek edges and perfect for a grip. Moving further, the 5-inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen is displays like a budget smartphone. Boasting of 1280 x 720 pixels in resolution and 294 pixel per inch density offering amazing visuals and clarity.
Hardware and Software
Administrating the work underneath is the MediaTek MT6737 chip coupled with a 64-bit CPU architecture and quad-core CPU frequency. The 4-cores of processor clocks at 1.25GHz with a 28nm process technology. Executing graphics is the ARM Mali-T720 MP1 graphics processor which clocks at 550MHz.
For multitasking, there’s only 1GB of RAM space available here alongside a memory speed of 640MHz. In terms of storage, there’s 16GB of storage space to accommodate all files, which you can upgrade further up to 32GB. The DEXP Ixion ML450 Super Force runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with modified user interface.
Camera
All the DEXP smartphones released yesterday only the Super Force has a peng camera. The 13MP rear camera here comes with a LED flash and captures 4K resolution. With the DEXP Ixion ML450 Super Force, you can capture photographs with 4163 x 3122 pixels in dimension. Record videos of 720 pixels at 30 frames per second, take cute selfies and make video calls with the 2MP selfie camera.
Battery
Powering the DEXP Ixion ML450 Super Force is a 8000mAh removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. Even with the fast charging feature, it might take up to 4 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
