The thing about budget smartphones is that you can get an ample number of features at a comparatively low price. This means you get to have a spec sheet closer to some high-end phones with only a few compromises. Doogee is a Chinese smartphone maker with a number of budget devices, hence the X-series smartphone among which today’s device is. The Doogee X20 is just a little bit costlier than some feature phones like Nokia’s 3310 devices.
Recently, most Chinese smartphones have been experimenting with a dual camera set up. Although this does not entirely translate to a premium picture quality and cannot be compared to the single camera of high-end devices. The Doogee X20 is no exception with a dual rear camera module and a single front camera.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY
When it comes to design Doogee is one of the few low-end smartphone makers that get it right. The Doogee X20 has a full metal build which is what most high-end smartphones are made of. This means you get a premium feel when holding the device, unlike some low-end smartphones that give off low price signals. It has a novel design with a dimension of 145.5 x 71.9 x 8.8 mm.
The slim body build makes its handling very much easier and gives it a sleek appearance. The X20 smartphone features an offscreen touch capacitive buttons and a middle mechanical home button. It is available in three colour variants which are gold, silver and black respectively.
In the display department, the Doogee X20 features a 5.5-inches 1280 x 720-pixel resolution IPS capacitive touchscreen display. The viewing angle is pretty much decent enough given the price tag. The pixel density is not bad either with 294ppi which is a decent catch in comparison to other phones in its price range.
CPU, STORAGE AND OS
The Doogee X20 is powered by a MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor that clocks at 1.3GHz. However, the CPU is a 32-bit technology which more on the low end and one of the few compromises for the low price. Also, the X20 smartphone is equipped with a Mali 400MP GPU which has a frequency of 400 MHz.
The internal memory is at 2GB alongside an internal storage of 16GB which can be extended to about 32GB using a TF card and runs on Android 7.0 out of the box.
BATTERY AND CAMERA
The battery capacity of the Doogee X20 is at 2580mAh, however, the lithium polymer battery is non-removable. At the back, there is a dual camera setup of 5MP each and a 5MP also at the front for selfies.
