The Doogee X70 is now officially available on shopping stores for a giveaway price. The device is undoubtedly the world’s cheapest smartphone with the trending notch display.
Doogee is offering those on a budget a chance to use the trending notch display at a giveaway price. The X70 comes with the feature, with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage space and a massive 4000mAh battery.
Design
The X70 has a Plastic cover back, just like what we typically see on most budget-friendly offerings from Doogee. Topping it all off, the company included the trending iPhone X-like dual shooters.
There’s also a rear fingerprint scanner which unlocks your device in 0.3s. However, it’s quite bulky by the sides measuring 11.1mm in thickness and weighing 167g overall. It’s available in Black, Gold and Blue colors.
Display
This is currently the world’s cheapest smartphone with notch. Doogee also downloaded the iPhone X wallpaper on the screen, making the device more attractive. There’s another Doogee logo at the bottom bezel.
The X70 is built on a 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. This boasts 540 x 1132 pixels in resolution and 228 pixel per inch density. Thanks to the notch, it stretches up to 76.8% screen-to-body and has 1000:1 contrast ratio.
Hardware and Software
It’s powered by the MediaTek MT6580M chip which was manufactured on a 28nm process node. It has 4-cores of processor reaching a smooth speed of 1.3GHz. While the ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics card comes with 2-cores and clocks at 416MHz.
In terms of RAM, the X70 is generous in that department packing 2GB RAM which reaches a memory speed of 533MHz. It has 16GB storage space as well and you can upgrade up to 64GB. The X70 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
Camera
There’s a dual 8MP + 0.3MP rear shooters for photography. The 8MP main shooter has f/2.2 aperture and 80° wide angle lens, while the 0.3MP is the depth sensor. For selfies, there’s a 5MP shooter at the notch with f/2.2 aperture and 80° wide angle lens.
Battery
Powering the Doogee X70 is a 4000mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2.5 hours.

Really badly written review, doesn’t even have camera samples, and broken English everywhere. Would have also been nice to actually review the device instead of just stating the specs. Lastly, the notch isn’t a trend, it’s a means to accommodate sensors, which are absent on this phone, so they’ve just wasted screen real estate, but it’s not like you mentioned any of this, go figure.
