Doogee Mix 3 was last seen at the 2018 Mobile World Congress, but it seems the unique smartphone will be hitting shopping stores soon. The device and its full specs was made available by Doogee on its official website as the successor to the Mix 2.
The Mix 3 has no bezels, no notch and dishes out a 19.3:9 aspect ratio, similar to what we saw on the NEX S and NEX A. Internally, it houses the Helio P25 chip with an octa-core processor, 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage. There’s also a flippable rear camera for selfies as well.
Design
The Doogee Mix 3 sports a metallic body that’s quite attractive to look at. Apart from the camera wonder going on at the top left corner, the rear is kind of plain and simple. There’s no rear fingerprint scanner here, as Doogee opted for trending in-display fingerprint scanner.
The protruding flippable rear camera has its LED flash on top of it. When flipped to the front the LED flash is underneath it and helps in taking photographs in low light. Instead of building a new pop-up selfie camera, Doogee decided to kill two birds with one stone.
Display
If you’re looking for an affordable truly bezel-less smartphone, Doogee has made one for you. The Mix 3 has no bezels, no notch, no bottom chin, just a tall screen for one of the best display yet. It also boasts of the under-screen (in-display) fingerprint scanner.
This means you can just place your hand on the bottom corner of the 5.99-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen to unlock the screen. This screen has 2160 x 1080 pixels in resolution, 402 pixel per inch density and stretches up to 93% screen-to-body ratio.
Hardware and Software
The Helio P25 chip from MediaTek is in charge here, it was built on a 16nm process technology and paired with an octa-core processor. The 8-Cores of processor here clocks at a fast speed of 2.0GHz. While the Mali-T880 MP2 graphics card dominates graphics.
There’s 6GB RAM for multitasking on the Doogee Mix 3 with a memory speed of over 1GHz. You also get 64GB of storage space and a slot to expand up to 256GB with a memory card. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.
Camera
There’s a single 21MP rear camera with f/2.0 at the rear, this can also be used as selfies when you flip it over to the top. The camera comes with a dual-LED flash and lots of internal features to enhance your photographs and selfies as well.
Battery
Powering the Doogee Mix 3 is a 4060mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
