DESIGN
It would be fair to say that the Fero A5005 device is an ultra stylish one. It’s sleek and smooth body is one to be admired. The camera and flash are located on the top left corner of the smartphone. While at the upper-right corner of the front holds the front camera of the device. We hold the opinion that the features were strategically placed on the phone. On its measurements, it contains a 700 * 144 * 7.9 mm and weighs 150 gms. It is built with a Textured Poly-Carbonate based back panel.
DISPLAY
Fero A5005 features a 5.0 inches display. With this display size, you are sure to hold the device comfortably in just one hand. Protecting this display is an enhanced Dragon Trail glass. The display type is an FWVGA TN capacitive touchscreen having a resolution of 480 × 854 pixels.
PROCESSOR AND OS
This device runs on an Android Operating System, v4.4.2 (KitKat). A dual core processor is what it runs on with a processor speed of 1.2 GHz. The calibre of the device would justify the kind of operating system it comes with.
INTERNAL STORAGE AND RAM
For your storage of music, videos, documents and other files, the device avails users with an 8 GB internal storage. This storage can be expanded to the tune of 32 GB space with the help of a micro SD card. This card has a dedicated slot for it. Taking care of the smooth running of applications on the device is a 512 MB RAM. This RAM size could be said to be somewhat small.
CAMERA
On the rear of the device, there’s a 3.2 MP camera, that comes with a LED flash. Its Secondary camera quality is pegged at 1.2 MP. With these qualities, you could quickly conclude that this device isn’t made for the popular “selfies” you expect.
BATTERY
As its powerhouse, the Fero A5005 comes with a removable Li-Ion 2,300 mAh battery. Obviously, average and heavy users would not be the best users for this device. They would need to go for something more than that (starting from say 3000 mAh capacity).
PRICE OF THE FERO A5005 SMARTPHONE
The cost of the Fero A5005 device in Nigeria is pegged at about N15,000. We think this is a fair price if the specs are to be put into consideration. It is rightly a low budget android device.
