Fitbit OS 3.0 – the new update for Fitbit is available

Fitbit, the leading company in the field of wearable devices, announces the arrival of the new Fitbit OS 3.0 update, which will allow you to do great things! Thanks to this new update, available for Fitbit Iconic smartwatches, Iconic- Adidas Edition and Versa, you can view even more data and personal information including sleep data and complete statistics of recorded workouts.

Fitbit OS 3.0 also introduces the quick insertion of data on weight and water consumption, which will allow you to easily trace this information from your wrist and act accordingly. Furthermore, starting in 2024, health monitoring trends will be introduced in the Fitbit app, providing an even more complete overview of menstrual cycle data, including symptom trends over time.

The features of Fitbit OS 3.0

The update introduces an extended panel on the device from which you can view a complete and comprehensive overview of personal data and statistics including sleep, water consumption, and weight, with further statistics on training, heartbeat and hourly activity.

The training mode based objectives are now also available on Ionic- Adidas Edition and Versa. Thanks to these modes, you can set a goal of calories burned, distance traveled or time is taken by choosing from over 15 exercises, such as running, cycling, swimming. You will also be able to view real-time statistics, progress, and a screen-based celebration once you reach your goal.

New apps for health and fitness of important brands

In the Fitbit Gallery App, you can find 10 new third-party app apps that enhance your well-being and fitness experience, offering new ways to simplify your everyday life. These apps integrate Fitbit data to offer the audience an even more immersive experience and find the motivation during the journey of wellness and fitness.

In the App Gallery you can find:

  • Achu Health– This app transfers Fitbit data to Achu’s disease prediction technology to help you assess symptoms of potential illnesses by sending alerts if your body shows signs of illness before it is contracted.
  • Couch to 5K– take advantage of Fitbit data, including distance traveled and calories burned, to offer personalized training tips and training programs.
  • Genius Wrist– includes four apps ( Gym Genius, Gym Time Pro, Workout Builder, and Workout Genius ) that offer structured on-screen exercises, productivity, and visualization tools to provide you with new ways to track Fitbit data and workouts anywhere, anytime.
  • MySwimPro– offers guided and personalized swimming exercises, training programs and exercise videos for all levels. Using the heartbeat data sent in real time from your Fitbit device, this app helps you improve your pool performance.

Third-party apps that will be available starting in 2019 are:

  • Charity Miles– synchronizes the activity data Fitbit and donates funds to 40 among the most important charity organizations in the world for each kilometer recorded.
  • Fitbark– helps you and your dog stay fit together by showing Fitbit daily stats like activity, distance traveled and calories burned.
  • Gold’s AMP– offers training programs for cardio and strength developed by Gold’s Gym trainers. Includes custom programs that guide you through video workout training, a countdown timer and intermediate steps, along with vibration alerts.
  • Mindbody– helps you easily manage your fitness and wellness programs.
  • Noonlight:  helps you stay safe and feel protected by activating security features and the geo-location signal for immediate assistance requests.
