Gionee S10B Review

DESIGN

The Gionee S10B aesthetic is pretty pleasing and eye-catching. And unlike the Gionee S10 which has about 90% resemblance with the iPhone 7 Plus, the Gionee S10B has a unique design of its own.

Gionee S10B review – unique body design

The Gionee S10B body is made of plastic and it comes in 3 colour options (Black, Grey and Red). The device is lightweight at 178 grams; even lighter than the Gionee S10 which weighs 215 grams. The hard keys of the S10B are all positioned on the left hand side of the device; save for the home button that is located at the front which also doubles as the device’s fingerprint sensor.

DISPLAY

A large 5.5-inch screen is up front the Gionee S10B. The display has an impressive resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 401ppi.

The screen is an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which can display up to 16M colours and crisp images. Using the Gionee S10B under conditions of high or low light won’t affect the visibility of the display one bit.

PROCESSOR, OS & STORAGE

On the Gionee S10B, Gionee utilized an Octa-core Cortex processor (4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.0 GHz Cortex-A53) on a Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 chipset to handle the device’s functions and processes. Alongside this processor on the duty is the Mali-T860MP2 Graphics Processing Unit.

The 4GB RAM on this device will give no room for lagging or heating up during usage as 4GB should be enough space for your apps to run on. Likewise, the 64GB in-built ROM is also enough space to keep your multimedia files, documents and any other files to be stored.

Should in case the on-board 64GB space isn’t enough or you ran out of space to keep files, the second SIM card slot can be utilized as an SD card slot which can take up to 256GB.

To capture moments beautifully with the Gionee S10B, all you get is a Dual 13MP and 5MP lens on the rear. As for selfies, a single 16MP lens located at the front is what you get.

The rear camera has a dual LED (dual tone) flash. Its capabilities include; Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama.
