GIONEE S10C REVIEW
DESIGN
Like I mentioned earlier, the Gionee S10C is the smallest member of the S10 series. Though with a beautiful body and design, its 73.7 x 18.7 x 7.9 mm dimensions shows how small it is compared to its “Big Brothers” (Gionee S10 and S10B).
At the rear, there’s a single camera left flanked to the left by a LED flashlight. The Gionee logo sits almost at the middle of the device and it seem like the device fingerprint scanner; but it isn’t. The home button at the front is the fingerprint sensor.
As the smallest member of the house, it also weighs the least at 151 grams. The Gionee S10C will also be coming in three different colour variants – Black, Green and Gold.
DISPLAY
The screen of this device is sized at 5.2-inch, 0.3-inch smaller than the S10 and S10B. The IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen has a toned down but nice display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and pixel density of 282 ppi.
PROCESSOR, DESIGN & OS
On the Gionee S10C, a Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processing unit functions on a Qualcomm MSM8920 Snapdragon 427 chipset. The S10 and S10C both have MediaTek chipsets. Gionee seem to have decided to change almost every spec of the S10c.
Though small, the RAM of the S10C is a beast. The huge 4GB RAM is complementing the beauty of this device. This combination will surely break any spell of lagging or heating up during usage. Fast and swift multitasking is also assured. There is an on-board storage of 32GB that can be expanded to up to 256GB via micro SD card.
As per the operating system of the S10, it will come out of the box with Android Nougat v7.0.
CAMERA
In the camera department, the Gionee S10C is once again, the black sheep of the S10 series. While the other two members of the series have dual camera set-up at the rear, the Gionee S10C sports a single 13-megapixel camera lens at the rear. Luckily, it comes with a LED flash.
Turning the device to the front reveals a secondary 16-megapixels camera in charge of taking selfies. The 16MP front camera will, no doubt, produce beautiful, bright and sharp selfies. That, I can boast of.
BATTERY
Keeping the Gionee S10C alive is a non-removable 3100 mAh Li-Ion battery. There is no information as to whether the S10C supports Quick charge technology or not.
PRICE
The Gionee S10C will retail for a price of $200. However, price may vary for depending on the location of purchase.
