Homtom H3 Design Basics, Performance Features, Price and Specs

Homtom, a Chinese company making inroads into the Indian smartphone market is releasing a mobile smartphone called Homtom H3 on September 6, 2018.

The Homtom H3 has been previously announced in August 2018 and the manufacturer claims there will be some aspects of the camera and hardware that will pull the attention of fans worldwide because of their unique features.

Design and Display

Homtom H3 comes with 5.50-inch touch-screen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1440 pixels. The aspect ratio is placed at 18.9, while the mobile phone.

Homtom H3 is also like many other smartphones of its caliber an IPS LCD capable device. The screen to body ratio is still not known, and we can’t tell for now what the screen protection or the weight of the smartphone is.

But we do know that the phone has 293 ppi pixel density and its capacitive touch-screen is multi-touch. Sensors on the device include face unlock, fingerprint sensor and accelerometer.

Camera Setup

This is one area that Homtom said fans will see marked differences as time goes by. Homtom H3 has a dual front camera with 13 MP + 2 MP, while to the front there is the 8 MP selfie camera.

The camera has exposure compensation, digital zoom, auto flash, and phase/face detection capabilities. The image resolution is 4128 x 3096. Other features of the cameras include continuous shooting, High Dynamic Range mode and LED flash.

Homtom H3 Hardware and Storage

Hardware for Homtom H3 is simple but effective. The smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, a MediaTek Processor 1.3 GHz, PowerVR GE8100, Quad-core 1.3 GHz, and Cortex A53.

For storage capacities, the Homtom H3 has a 32GB internal memory which is expandable up to 64GB through microSD card. The smartphone comes in 3GB RAM.

Network and Connectivity

As expected, Homtom H3 is a smartphone powered by GSM, HSPA, and LTE network, meaning the device is able to handle 2G, 3G and 4G internet connections. SIM one and SIM two (both micro) are able to handle these internet networks GPRS and EDGE wise.

USB connectivity comes with a mass storage device, USB charging, and micro USB 2.0. Other aspects of Homtom H3 is that it has Bluetooth v4.2, it is Wi-Fi compatible, and has a mobile hotspot infused into it to share wireless internet.

We cannot confirm yet if the device is NFC capable or if its architecture is 64bit.

Battery Life

The battery inside Homtom H3 is not user replaceable. We can’t assure you of what the standby time is, but we think it will be between 550 hours or 620 hours. Talk time is also not known yet. However, the Homtom H3 is 3500 mAh which shows that the user can depend on the battery power at least for one year.

Price and Availability

Homtom H3 is a few Rupees shy of Rs 10,000. The expected price is Rs 9,990 when it goes on sale after September 6. The phone should be available in select online stores by the end of September and by early October.
