The Honor 8S 2020 is the latest budget device from Honor. This is the rebranded model of the Honor 8S. It still maintains similar specifications with other goodies on the inside. Below are the smartphone full specifications and the price.
Design And Display
In terms of body design, the Honor 8S is blessed with a decent body that is wrapped with all plastic. It has a smooth panel featuring the camera, and an LED flash with the branded logo. There is no fingerprint scanner on the device. It measures 147.1 x 70.8 x 8.5 mm in dimensions and weight 146 grams.
It also comes with a waterdrop notch hosting the front camera and a small bezel on the bottom of the screen. It has a screen display size of 5.71 inches under IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The screen has a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels, a 19:9 ratio, and 295 PPI density for clear visuals. You will also get display protection on the device as well.

The Honor 8S has a Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 chipset that is built with 12 nm process technology. The chip has an octa-core processor clocking at a speed of 2.0 GHz and PowerVR GE8320 for graphics and gaming. It runs on the Android 9.0 Pie operating system and thankfully it comes with Google Play Services.

The absence of fingerprint scanner is a huge miss. I think Honor can do much better in this price range. Now Mediatek has launched so many chipsets for budget smartphones. They should make good use of that

Good budget option with Mediatek Helio A22 processor. But I think the battery could have been a bit better.
