Honor Play, the update brings with it the 4D Smart Shock (and fixes a bug)

The phone received its latest software update that brings with it a new feature called “4D Smart Shock. Soon Honor will also implement a vibration function called “4D Gaming“, which will be added as part of an OTA update, a feature that was revealed for the first time during the launch of the device in China. The “4D Gaming” adds personalized vibrations to your user experience while you play.

The update build number is COR-AL00 8.2.0.120 (C675CUSTC675D1), and the file size is approximately 327 MB.

The Changelog update for the “gaming” smartphone from Honor, in addition to the new Smart Shock 4D function, includes the correction of a bug that involved the recording of calls, and the new security patches from Google.

Initially reported by the Android Soul site, the 4D Smart Shock feature is initially available only for PUBG and Asphalt 9 – Legends, but will soon be added to the other games.

The “report” also suggests that Android 9.0 Pie is already available as a beta update for users selected as part of the Honor Play test program. It is one of the first smartphones with the Honor brand to arrive with the GPU Turbo technology – according to the company, the gaming performance has improved by 60%, while the battery life has been increased by 30%.

The dual-SIM Honor Play (Nano) runs EMUI 8.2, based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and sports a 6.3-inch full-HD + (1080 × 2340 pixels) panel with a 19.5 – 9 aspect ratio and a “notch.” The handset is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor, combined with 4 GB / 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of integrated memory. As for the photo compartment, the smartphone is equipped with a dual rear camera, with a 16-megapixel sensor and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor.

On the front side, the Honor Play is equipped with a 16-megapixel camera sensor with f / 2.0 aperture. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, USB Type-C, GPS / A-GPS and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Finally, the device is equipped with a 3750 mAh battery.
