How to cast from PC to TV with Chromecast? It is still one of the most frequently asked questions on the internet. Nowadays, there is no shortage of televisions that allow you to stream content directly to the big screen. But Google’s Chromecast was the streaming dongle that made this feature really popular. Today there are TVs and streaming boxes with integrated Chromecast. Hence it remains the most popular method of casting phone screens to TV.

But did you know that it also works as a desktop? Today we will show you how to cast screen from Windows PC and MAC to TV via Chromecast. The Google Chrome browser is the only thing you need to broadcast your PC screen Chromecast. Of course, you need a working Chromecast connected to the same WiFi as your desktop. Like you would on your phone, you will see the Cast icon that you can click on.

CAST TAB BUTTON NOT PRESENT ON CHROME

Can’t find the Cast button in the Chrome toolbar? With mobile apps, you only see the Cast button when Chromecast is available on the same WiFi network. On the desktop, you can pin the Cast button on the Chrome toolbar.

  1. Click the three-dot overflow menu button in the top right corner on Chrome.
  2. From the menu, select Cast…
  3. The Cast button will temporarily appear in the toolbar along with the options to cast.
  4. Right-click the Cast button and click the Always Show icon.

From now on, you don’t have to depend on Chrome to see the Cast button. It will stay in that place forever. Using this feature, you can extend the PC screen to Chromecast.
