How To Disable The Demo Loop On Your Sony TV

The demo mode on Sony TVs is also known as the retail mode and it is present for when the television set is chilling in the store, to let the retailer flaunt its capabilities anyhow he or she pleases. However, when it comes to daily use, the demo mode is not that great. It is very restricting and was obviously not designed for consistent use.

Sadly, though, disabling the demo mode on Sony TV is not universal across the board. Depending on which model you own, the method for turning this mode off can differ. Luckily for us, it is very possible to deactivate demo mode on Sony TVs. See How To Disable The Demo Loop On Your Sony TV:

Sadly, for these models, it will be impossible to turn off the demo mode from the settings. Instead, a factory reset can help. See how to go about it:

If your TV lets you go to “Home” with remote control, press “Home” on your remote, and head to Settings. After that, choose “System Settings,” then “Customer Support.” Head to “Factory Settings” and confirm that you wish to revert to the factory settings by choosing “OK.”

If your Sony TV model does not let you head to the Home screen using the remote, you will need a different route. Begin by unplugging the power cord from the outlet and do not plug it back in instantly. Let it remain unplugged for at least 60 seconds. After that, plug the power cord back into the outlet. If the device fails to turn on automatically, get it done yourself. Hold on for around one minute for the television to do the initial startup.

After that, press the Up Arrow button on the remote and hold it. As you hold the Up Arrow key, press the television’s power button and release it. An indicator will be visible in the bottom-left corner of the display. You can then release the Up Arrow button. The setup screen would now be visible, just adhere to the onscreen instructions to set everything up.

That is that.
