If you’re a fan of multitasking, then you’d like the split screen view and multi-window on Apple iPhone Xs, Xs Max, and Xr. The new feature called “Split screen view’ or ‘Multi Window’ makes it possible for you to simultaneously use two apps at once on your Apple iPhone. Each app uses half of the screen – top half and bottom half – and you can use both of them like you normally would if you were running just one. It’s just like two smaller phones on one screen. The feature is available on the iPhone Xs, Xs Max Xr and doesn’t require any app or Update to use it. All you have to do in order to make use of this feature is to simply activate it.
If after activating it and making use of it for a while and you don’t like or fancy it, you can also deactivate or turn it off. Although I doubt if anyone would turn off a feature such as this. It is still good to know that the feature isn’t active by default and one can choose to either use or turn it off. If you’re among those that would like to make sure of this feature, then follow the steps below.
How To Use Split Screen View and Multi Window on Apple iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr
First, you’ll have to activate the feature before you make use of it. To do that, see the outlined procedure below.
- Turn on your Apple iPhone Xs, Xs Max, or Xr.
- Go to the Settings Menu by clicking on the settings icon from the Home screen.
- Click on Display & Brightness and Tap on the View Option which you’ll find under the Display Zoom Menu.
- Tap on Zoomed and Click on Set.
- Now Click on ‘Use Zoomed,’ and you’re good to go.
Once you’ve activated it, you can now go ahead and make use of the split screen view and multi-window on Apple iPhone Xs, Xs Max, or Xr.

I have an Iphone XS version and definitely I have not a VIEW option or ZOOM under Dispaly & Brightness menu. So, on Iphone XS (not MAX) it is not possible to turn on Split Screen mode!
Same as others have wrote, wtf. How does it work then
Jason
At least you read the article. And looked at the adds. So people got paid. Keep searching.
If someone ever finds out how to get it to actually work, please let me know
Ok, so this is now the 3rd or 4th website telling me how to activate split screen view / Multi Window to have 2 apps side by side on an iphone XS MAX / whatever. But so far none of them tell me how I use it. Please tell me how I use it after I activate it. What is the next step?
you do not use the zoomed view…the standard view is the how you use split screen…just go to setting and set the standard view as the default
Ever get an answer? I am at the same point. Do the steps to activate zoom THEN WHAT!?!!!!!
