Design
The Ascend XT2 has a Metal overall unibodu that’s quite attractive, making it one of the best looking budget smartphone. The dual antenna lines on the device adds to the beauty as well, there’s no fingerprint scanner whatsoever on the device, which is disappointing.
AT&T marked their territory and took the place of the fingerprint scanner, while the rear camera sits at the top with the LED flash beside it. Turning to the side, it measures 8.4mm in thickness and weighs 163g overall. In terms of color, it’s available in only Black.
Display
The bezels on this device might be a turn off for many in 2024. However, it has a massive screen that stretches all the way to the sides as well. Huawei marked their territory at the bottom bezel, as the top houses the speaker grille and selfie camera.
The 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts of 1280 x 720 pixels in resolution. With a pixel per inch density of 267, everything on the screen should be clear enough and sharp for users. Furthermore, the screen stretches up to 71.4% screen to body ratio.

Hardware and Software
Working underneath is the Snapdragon 435 chip from Qualcomm with octa-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 8-cores of processor reaches a clock speed of 1.4GHz with 28nm process technology for a smooth ride. Handling graphics is the Adreno 505 graphics processor from Qualcomm.
Ready to handle all your task, is the 2GB RAM space available with a memory speed of 800MHz. For storage, 16GB internal storage space is available as well and upgradeable up to 128GB with a memory card. Overall, The Huawei Ascend XT2 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system with EMUI 5.1 skin on top.
Camera
The 12MP rear shooter has f/2.2 aperture, CMOS Sensor, 1.25um Pixel Size and other quality features. The camera can capture photographs with 4032 x 3024 pixels in dimension and record videos of 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second. The 8MP selfie camera has f/2.0 aperture and captures cute selfies.
