Huawei Y9 (2018) is a mid-range smartphone from Chinese smartphone OEM – Huawei. The smartphone comes with a quad camera setup consisting of dual cameras at the front and dual cameras at the back. The smartphone’s renders were released of late, and sooner or later this month, the smartphone will get its official announcement. Design & Display
The smartphone is made up of aluminium alloy body and a front glass. Its rear is smoothly furnished while its edges are well rounded. Dedicated keys such as volume and power buttons are present on the right side of the smartphone. Around the back, dual cameras and dual tone dual-LED flash are available at the top left corner while the fingerprint sensor stays around the center of the back. Huawei emblem also appears very close to the bottom around the rear region. At the front, the top bezel contains a dual camera setup, earpiece and some sensors leaving the bottom bezel to house the Huawei logo. The dimensions of the smartphone are 75.3 mm width, 157.2 mm length and 7.89 mm thickness. Colours of the device are Blue, Black and Gold. Additionally, the smartphone weighs 170 g.

Sized 5.93 inches, Huawei Y9 (2018) uses an LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. Its pixel density is 407 PPI while its screen-to-body ratio is 77%. Its FHD+ display has the presence of 2.5D curved glass and 24 bit color depth.
Camera
The rear dual cameras consists of 13 MP primary snapper and 2 MP sub-snapper. A dual tone dual-LED flash is on board to provide brightness in low light conditions. Added to this the f/2.2 aperture is available. Selfies are taken by a dual camera setup that comprises of 16 MP and 2 MP sensors. No LED flash is available to provide brightness in dark conditions. Features such as HDR, panorama, auto focus, touch focus and geo tagging are also present.

HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset enveloping an Octa-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU serves the major operations of the Huawei Y9 (2018). The CPU is of 64-bit architecture and clocks at 2.36 GHz. Graphics on the smartphone is handled by ARM Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. Android Oreo OS is the software of this device while 3 GB RAM is in charge of multitasking. The size of the internal storage of the smartphone is 32 GB although it can be extended to 256 GB with the use of a MicroSD card.
