The iLA X1 is a new smartphone that was released in the month of December 2018. Surely, this is one of the first gifts for Christmas. The phone device showed face in Egypt. Africa is proud to welcome this 4G Android smartphone.
Although it is cheap, it boasts good qualities in some features, such as the dual camera to the rear, the notch display, and the fingerprint reader also mounted to the rear of the phone.
The battery too has been provided in a way such as not to make the device too heavy while at the same time it performs in the best possible way to balance its work with the performance.
Design and Display iLA X1
Design material prevalent in the smartphone is both plastic and metal. Dimensions are 147.5 x 71.6 x 8.65 mm and it weighs 140 grams. It comes in black and blue colors. This is not a water resistant device but it has fingerprint sensor and also face recognition technology.
Display type is IPS LCD capacitive multi-touch screen with no secondary display. The screen size is 5.67 inches. Furthermore, pixel density is 293 ppi, pixel resolution is 1498 x 720. Other good features are 19:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D curved glass, and 78 percent screen to body ratio.
Camera Features
The primary dual rear camera consists of 13 MP and 0.3 MP. Both arrive with LED flash. To the front, there is a selfie camera of 5 MP. There is no front flash for the selfie camera. The video performance is 1080p@30fps.
Other camera features are geotagging, HDR, touch focus, panorama, face detection, Digital Zoom.
Hardware and software
Android OS v8.1 Oreo runs iLA X1 device. Surely, this will upgrade to the latest Android 9 Pie in due time. For chipset, there is MediaTek MT6750 with process technology 28nm assisted by 64-bit architecture. The CPU is Octa-Core Cortex A53, and the GPU is Mali T860 MP2.
Storage Capacity and Sensors
Inside the iLA X1 there is 3GB of RAM space that cannot be expanded. However, the internal storage is 32GB which can be expanded to 128GB through the use of a micro-SD card in SIM 2 card slot.
Sensors in the device are accelerometer, proximity, light, and fingerprint.
Network and Connectivity
The iLA X1 is a 4G smartphone. It means that it can only handle 2G, 3G and 4G LTE internet network connections. Therefore, GSM, HSPA, and LTE are the supported networks in the device. There are also two hybrid/nano SIM card slots to make these operate better.
Working connectivity components also included are Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, headphone jack, and micro USB 2.0. However, there are no infrared, NFC, or HDMI technology in the device.
Battery Life iLA X1
Powering the device is a Li-Po 3050 mAh non-removable battery. This battery has no wireless charging or fast charging technology in-built. Further, no information about the standby time and the talk time has been specified.
