Huawei has been working on its new generation of high-end processors for a while. It is expected that its high-end phones this fall will make use of it. The name of the processor will be Kirin 980 and will bring several improvements over 970, which is what they have used in their latest models. It seems that soon we will know this new processor.
Kirin 980 would be presented at the IFA 2018
Since the presentation of the same would be planned for the end of August. Logical considering that in the fall new models will come from the firm that will make use of this processor.
Kirin 980 will arrive very soon
Huawei would have planned to hold a presentation event on August 31. It would be an event to be held within the framework of the IFA 2018 that takes place in Berlin. A good choice, since it is a showcase of enormous importance for the brands presents there. So the presentation of this processor would generate a lot of interest in the press.
While we already have a poster announcing this presentation of Kirin 980, it has not been confirmed yet that this will be the date or time chosen. Huawei has not answered anything, but it seems that it will be like that eventually. So we will wait a month until its arrival.
The new generation of Huawei Mate should make use of Kirin 980, in addition to some models of Honor. But we do not know yet the full list of phones. Surely in these coming weeks you will know more.
