Design

Lanix Ilium Alpha 950 XL

You can easily notice the difference in terms of size when you look at the back. Apart from that, nothing else as changed in terms of the symmetrical aesthetics. We can see the dual antenna lines in their usual position.

The rear camera and LED flash are vertical at the top middle with the fingerprint scanner underneath. Surprisingly the XL version is slimmer by the side, measuring 8.2mm in thickness and weighs 168g. No words yet if a gold version of this would be rolled out.

Display

From the front, it’s obvious it has a better screen to body ratio than its little brother. Sporting super minimal top and bottom bezel, while the narrow bezels are almost non existence. The Lanix Ilium Alpha 950 XL is definitely for big screen lovers.

The 5.99-inch HD+ IPS LCD capacitive
touchscreen is big enough to display everything in high quality. With a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels in resolution and 269 pixel per inch density, enjoy visuals with depth clarity. The screen also stretches up to 76% screen to body ratio, which is great.

Disappointingly, it also ships with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage space like its younger brother. The RAM space reaches a memory speed of 667MHz for smooth multitasking. While the 16GB internal storage space is ready to accommodate all files and upgradeable up to 64GB. The Lanix Ilium Alpha 950 XL runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system out of the box.

Camera

The 13MP rear camera on this affordable beauty shouldn’t be underestimated. It captures 4K resolution images with ease. The camera has a CMOS sensor and other features which helps in capturing photographs with 4160 x 3120 pixels in dimension. Record videos of 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second, and take cute selfies with the 16MP selfie camera.
