Lenovo launched the S5 smartphone last March. Now, seven months later, it seems that the company is ready to launch the successor within the next week. In fact, there should be no more doubts about the launch, as it was the same company that confirmed the arrival of the Lenovo S5 Pro, also providing a date for the official presentation of the product – Lenovo’s new device will be unveiled to the world on Wednesday, October 18.
The teaser poster, published on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo, also reveals that the smartphone will be equipped with two cameras on the front side, unlike the Lenovo S5 which only had a front camera. The Lenovo S5 Pro has also been spotted on the TENAA certification agency website, revealing all the details of the device’s specifications.
The list suggests that the device will have a 6.18-inch screen, a 3,500 mAh battery, two front, and rear cameras, more storage options, and RAM and an octa-core processor.
The TENAA list, in detail, states that the Lenovo S5 Pro (model number L58041) will have Android 8.1 Oreo as the operating system. The phone has a 6.18-inch (1080 × 2246 pixels) Full HD screen with a 19 – 9 aspect ratio, and is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core processor. The smartphone will be equipped with 3 GB RAM + 32 GB of storage, 4 GB of RAM + 64 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage options. Expandable memory up to 128 GB is supported via the microSD card slot.
As mentioned earlier, the Lenovo S5 Pro is equipped with a 20-megapixel rear camera and another 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. On the front, we find instead a 20-megapixel sensor and another 8-megapixel sensor. The battery is 3,500 mAh. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5 and GPS. The list shows that the device is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor located on the back, and will be made available in the options of Black, Red, Gold, Silver, and White.
Also on TENAA, another Lenovo smartphone was identified with the model number L38041. This variant will have two cameras on the back, with a 16-megapixel sensor with LED flash support and another 5-megapixel secondary camera, a single 8-megapixel sensor in the front and a 3,930 mAh battery.
