LG K10 (2018) has officially been announced by LG and would make its debut at the Mobile World Congress. This is LG’s way of trying to break back into the much saturated midrange smartphones category. It is also budget friendly and would retail for just a token (check below).
The device targets those on a budget and will officially be available for sale after the 2018 Mobile World Congress. It comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage space, 3000mAh battery and other average specs as well. Want to know more? Stay with me, lets have a thorough review of the device.
Design
It comes with a plastic back, with the LG logo being very glaring at the middle. A rear loudspeaker sits at the left bottom corner, at the top, the rear camera starts a vertical train with the dual-LED flash underneath. The fingerprint sensor completes the rear features on the K10 (2018).
Moving to the sides, the volume keys and power button are present as it measures 8.7mm slim. That’s quite bulky for a 2018 smartphone but oh well, it weighs 162g making it light to carry around and operate. It’s available in so many colors as well like Moroccan Blue, Aurora Black and Terra Gold.
Display
The company also claimed their territory at the bottom bezel, with their logo sitting comfortably there. It has no navigation buttons or physical home button, while the top bezel houses the ambient light sensor, speaker grille and selfie camera.
Focusing on the screen, the 5.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is portable and crystal clear. Boasting of a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and 277 pixel per inch density for immersive visuals. Protecting the multi-touch screen is a 2.5D Curved Glass which offers scratch resistant. Disappointingly, the screen didn’t reach the 70% mark to be a “bezel-less phone, as it pegs at 69.2%.
Hardware and Software
The system on chip is the MediaTek MT6750 chipset with Octa-core processor which clocks at 1.5 GHz for fast performance. The CPU architecture is a 64-bit processor, while the process technology adores at 28nm. In charge of graphics is the ARM Mali-T860 MP2 graphics processor clocking at 520 MHz.
Multitask demanding apps through thick and thin with 2GB RAM space that has a memory speed of 666MHz. 16GB internal storage space is also available to accommodate your files and apps. The storage space is upgradeable up to 256GB using a memory card. The K10 (2018) runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system with modified user interface.
Camera
At the back, there’s a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash that captures 4K resolution images. The camera boasts of other quality features as well that helps take photographs with 4163 x 3122 pixels in dimension. Photographs should come out great with the LG K10 (2018), you can also record videos of 1080pixels at 30 frames per second. Selfies should come out great as well, the 8MP front facing camera should do the trick.
Battery
Powering the LG K10 (2018) up is a 3000mAh Non-removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology support. Without the feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take close to 2.2 hours.
