LG K10 Plus (2018) has officially been announced by LG alongside the K10 (2018) and the K8 (2018). The midrange smartphones are expected at the 2018 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The company meant business this time around and want to dominate the midrange market.
The Plus version of the K10 (2018) comes with a bigger 32GB internal storage capacity. Which is two times bigger than the storage space on its little brother. It has a bigger RAM space as well, coming with 3GB of RAM. What other features does the LG K10 Plus (2018) comes with? Lets find out.
Design
It comes with a plastic back just like the K10 (2018), but in cute little twist the LG logo has been dropped to the bottom. Thereby giving the “K10+” inscription a place to shine. The fingerprint scanner, dual-LED flash and rear camera are still in the usual vertical position.
Moving to the sides, the volume keys and power button are present as it measures 8.7mm slim. That’s quite bulky for a 2018 smartphone but oh well, it weighs 162g making it light to carry around and operate. It’s available in only two colors unlike the K10 (2018), which are Moroccan Blue and Terra Gold.
Display
There’s no LG logo at the bottom bezel here, which is totally weird. It has no navigation buttons or physical home button as well, while the top bezel houses the ambient light sensor, speaker grille and selfie camera. I think LG knew the logo at the bottom bezel was a complete turn off.
Focusing on the screen, the 5.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen boasts of a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio and 277 pixel per inch density for immersive visuals. Protecting the multi-touch screen is a 2.5D Curved Glass which offers scratch resistant. Disappointingly, the screen didn’t reach the 70% mark to be bezel-less, as it pegs at 69.2%.
Hardware and Software
The system on chip is the MediaTek MT6750 chipset with Octa-core processor which clocks at 1.5 GHz for fast performance. The CPU architecture is a 64-bit processor, while the process technology adores at 28nm. In charge of graphics is the ARM Mali-T860 MP2 graphics processor clocking at 520 MHz.
Multitask demanding apps through thick and thin with 3GB RAM space that has a memory speed of 666MHz. 32GB internal storage space is also available to accommodate your files and apps. The storage space is upgradeable up to 256GB using a memory card. The K10 Plus (2018) runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat operating system with modified user interface.
Camera
At the back, there’s a 13MP rear camera with dual-LED flash that captures 4K resolution images. The camera boasts of other quality features as well that helps take photographs with 4163 x 3122 pixels in dimension. Photographs should come out great with the LG K10 Plus (2018), you can also record videos of 1080pixels at 30 frames per second. Selfies should come out great as well, the 8MP front facing camera takes stunning selfies.
Battery
Powering the LG K10 Plus (2018) up is a 3000mAh Non-removable Li-Ion battery with no fast charging technology support. Without the feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take close to 2.2 hours.
