Design
Made from classic Metal and designed to perfection, the M8s is one of the best looking Meitu smartphones. The body is also covered in glass, making it glow in the presence of light. The hexagon looking smartphone has unique curved edges.
Another attractive feature at the rear is the separate dual-LED flash, sitting side by side the rear shooter. The smartphone isn’t as bulky as I expected, measuring just 9.3mm in thickness. We don’t typically see a device with this type unique design weighing just 168g, absolutely a piece of cake to handle.
Display
Looks attractive from the back, but pretty weird from the front. It’s hard to tell if the bottom and top bezel were both expanded to accommodate the selfie camera and physical home button respectively. Well, that’s what it looks like here. Nonetheless, the home button doubles as a fingerprint scanner, while the top houses two selfie cameras.
The 5.2-inch FHD AMOLED capacitive touchscreen stretches all the way to the sides, with no narrow bezels in sight. Boasts of a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and 423.64 pixel per inch density for immersive visuals and stunning display. However, the screen could only get to 65.55% screen to body ratio.

Houses the MediaTek Helio X27 MT6797X chip with deca-core processor and 64-bit CPU architecture. The 10-cores of processor runs an outstanding speed of 2.5GHz with 20nm process technology offering jaw-dropping performance. The ARM Mali-T880 MP4 graphics processor comes with 4-Cores and clocks at 875MHz.
Accomplish heavy tasks with 4GB of RAM space available alongside a memory speed of 800MHz. In terms of storage, there are actually two versions, but none is upgradeable so you have to choose wisely. The standard version comes with 128GB, while the cheaper variant has 64GB. The Meitu M8s runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with MEIOS 4.0 skin on top.
