With the success of their smartphones in the smartphone market, there’s no idealistic point in doubting their success in the tablet category of gadgets. The latest tablet to come off the Micromax storehouse is the Micromax Canvas Plex Tab.

DESIGN

Micromax Canvas Plex Tab has a metal unibody design that comes in only a single gold colour. The rear of the tablet sports a rear camera with a LED flash on the right side of the camera lens. At the bottom region of the back, dual speakers are located. The ‘CANVAS tab’ logo is located on the central point at the right-hand side of the rear. The frontal of the tab beholds the front-facing camera and the tablet’s touchscreen. The right side of the tablet if placed in a portrait mode, houses the volume keys and the power button.

DISPLAY

The tablet has an average screen display size of 8.0 inches. The screen display type is the WXGA LCD touchscreen. The screen resolution of the tablet is fixed at 1280 x 720 pixels. This ensures that texts, images and icons on the tablet have crispness and clarity.

CAMERA

The rear camera of the tablet has a shooter of 5 megapixels. The camera also has the support of a LED flash. The front-facing camera for the selfies has a shooter of 2 megapixels. The front camera won’t produce selfies of top notch quality, but it’s still good to go.

PROCESSOR AND OS

For powering the Micromax Canvas Plex Tab, the MediaTek MT8382W/M chipset was incorporated in the tablet. The CPU of the tablet is a Quad-core ARM Cortex A-7 processor. The CPU clocks at a speed of 1.3GHz. The ARM Mali-400 MP2 handles the graphics production of the tablet.

STORAGE AND RAM

The storage of this tablet is quite impeccable. For the storage of files and documents, the tablet has a 32GB storage capacity at its disposal. Fluid multitasking and smooth apps running are taken care of by the 3GB RAM. Heavy smartphone users will find this tablet convenient to utilise.

BATTERY

The powerhouse of this tablet is a non-removable Li-Po battery with 3,000mAh capacity. The battery capacity is a low one and as such doesn’t have a long duration.
