The LG G7 is LG’s 2018 flagship smartphone, which will officially make its debut on the 26th of March. This is coming after LG introduced the LG V30S ThinQ during the mobile season.
The G7 is a force to be reckoned with, coming with a massive 128GB storage space. It ships with 6GB of RAM, the trendy top-notch design, wireless charging and dual rear camera. Want to know more? Stay with me.
Design
Made exquisitely from Aluminum Alloy and polished to perfection, the device will be a beauty to behold and hold. The device is IP68 certified as well, offering dust and water-resistant of not more than 30 minutes underwater. Can pass off as a soft rugged smartphone with the MIL-STD-810G compliant.
The dual rear camera at the back still maintained their position in the middle, instead of going the iPhone X way. The dual-LED flash sits beside the dual shooters, while the fingerprint scanner comes underneath. The LG logo is pretty much visible at the bottom corner to complete the rear features.
Display
So finally, LG has joined Vivo, ASUS and others to follow the trend which Apple made popular with the iPhone X. However, the top-notch on the LG G7 is somewhat minimal and houses only the speaker grille, ambient light sensor and selfie camera.
Seems it’s really difficult to get rid of the bottom bezel completely. Nonetheless, the screen still managed to cross the 85% screen to body ratio mark. Talking of the screen, the 6.2-inch QHD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is breathtaking. An astonishing 2880 x 1440 pixels in resolution and 519 pixel per inch density.
Hardware and Software
The flagship houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip with a 64-bit CPU architecture and 8-cores of processor. The Octa-core processor clocks at 2.7GHz and has a 28nm process technology for fast performance. Handling graphics is the Qualcomm Adreno 630 graphics processor.
For multitasking, it has a standard 6GB RAM just like most flagships, but pretty much faster than most, reaching a memory speed of 1.866 GHz. In terms of storage, there are two versions, the standard version with 128GB and the much cheaper variant with 64GB. Both are upgradeable up to 400GB as it runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
Camera
Housing dual 16MP + 16MP cameras at the rear with captures 4K resolution images. The cameras come with a dual-LED flash and other features, capturing photographs with 4619 x 3464 pixels in dimension. With the LG G7, you can record FHD videos of 2160 pixels at 30 frames per second, 1080 pixels at 60 frames per second and 720 pixels at 120 frames per second. For selfies, 8MP selfie camera is at the top bezel to do justice to your face.
Battery
Powering the LG G7 is a 3000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with fast and wireless charging technology. With the Quick Charge 3.0 on the LG G7, it shouldn’t take more than 1.3 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.

The LG V30 is a really excellent phone. If they can figure out how to do marketing, maybe they will have a winner with the “G7”. I hope they keep the flat screen and don’t use a curved screen. it’s hard to find a good glass screen protector for the V30.
When I went through this phone’s specs, the first thing that came to my mind was s prayer that God should please, give me money ?. This is the kind of phone i dreamt using in my life. I don’t know about any other person, but as for me, I’m in love with this beauty.
where is quick charge 4.0 and No QC problems detected.
I believe the reference is to inconsistency of some LG display panels, which I assume has been sorted out now.
I think the wireless charging is the main marketing strategy for this LG G7 I device is indeed packed with amazing features but I advice LG to work more on the battery capacity
