The Chinese electronics company based in Zhuhai, in the province of Guangdong, China, released the Meizu 15 phones only last April – that’s why the sudden success of its successors left everyone a bit of a surprise. Industry experts had already signaled the arrival of these two new phones, but they thought they could get further.

According to what was reported by the Chinese company, it seems that Meizu 16 will be available starting August 20th. The indicated price is 242 dollars, or about 211 euros, while the Meizu 16 Plus is sold for 290 dollars (253 euros). It is possible to choose between the Quiet Night Black or Mountain White versions in each of these three memory variants – 6 GB of RAM / 64 GB of storage, 6 GB of RAM / 128 GB or 8 GB of RAM / 128 GB. The Meizu 16 Plus comes with more storage capacity – 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of storage, 8 GB of RAM plus 128 GB and 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of memory.

The screen size of the two devices are different – 6 inches for the Meizu 16 and 6.5 inches for the Meizu 16 Plus. Both products have a fingerprint sensor integrated into the display.

Meizu 16 Plus features a Super AMOLED screen, 1080 x 2160 pixel resolution, over 90% screen-to-body ratio, dual 12MP and 20MP rear cameras (OIS and telephoto), a 20 MP front camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, auto HDR, AI camera and a 3570 mAh battery. The Meizu 16 is equipped with a Super AMOLED 1080p + display and a 3010 mAh battery, in addition to a stereo speaker configuration and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Prices and technical specifications lead us to say that Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus are two mid-range phones. Compared to other Android phones with the same features as the best OEMs, Meizu 16 and Meizu 16 Plus is quite cheap and convenient.
