The Meizu E3 has officially been announced today and would be available for sale in the coming weeks. The new smartphone comes with dual rear cameras, in a vertical position at the top left, just like the iPhone X. This is no joke, the dual rear camera on this beauty can capture 5K resolution images. That’s not all, the E3 is also bezel-less and comes with a powerful battery as well. Want to know more? Lets dig in.
Design
The back might look so plain and simple from a distance but don’t underestimate this beast. It boasts of an overall metal body design that was polished to perfection. Its very smooth and comfortable to hold and operate, without being slippery.

To achieve a unique look, the fingerprint sensor is by the side for quick access. The fingerprint scanner by the side won’t disappoint you, unlocking your device in 0.1s. Its available in three beautiful colors to match the exquisite design, which are Obsidian Black, Champagne Gold and Dark Blue.
Display
It’s bezel-less, well not entirely, i can still spot some bezels overall. Even the narrow bezels are still pretty much visible, there’s a selfie camera at the top bezel. The 5.99-inch FHD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is brilliant, displaying immersive visuals.
The screen boasts of a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 403 pixel per inch bringing out all the details. The multi-touch screen is scratch resistant, thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass. Its not all screen though, as it barely reached the 78% screen to body ratio mark.
Hardware and Software
Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip with Octa-core processor. The processor boasts of a clock speed of 1.8GHz, with 14nm process technology and 64-bit CPU architecture. In the graphics department, a Qualcomm Adreno graphics processor is in charge. In terms of RAM space, there are two versions, one with 4GB RAM and much expensive variant with 6GB RAM.
While for storage, there are three versions, one with 32GB storage space, another with 64GB then the expensive one with 128GB. All versions are upgradeable up to 256GB by inserting a memory card in the sim 2 slot. The E3 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and should get Android 8.0 Oreo update. On top of the operating system is the Flyme 7.0 user interface for a unique experience.
Camera
Smartphone makers are now putting much detail to the camera on their device. The dual rear 20MP + 12MP on this baby with dual-LED flash is definitely the highlight of the device. Both cameras will be working hand in hand to deliver 5K resolution images. Yes you heard that right, images taken with the Meizu E3 can boasts of 5164 x 3873 Pixels in dimension.
Record videos of 2160 pixels at 30 frames per second, achieving quality details. While the 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture is ready to take beautiful selfies of your face.
Battery
Meizu E3 is powered by a 3300mAh Non-removable Li-Ion battery, with fast battery charging feature. The mCharge 3.0 is really fast and can boost the battery from 0% to 100% in just 1.6 hours.

That large ram and large camera all packed up in a little chipset that is an Octa-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53. They could have went with far better chipset like SD 660 or the helio X25…
