Meizu has just launched two flagship phones in September 2018, and both phones sport a premium design and the latest hardware. The Meizu 16X comes with a dual rear camera and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner while the Meizu 16X comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner and other regulars.

Meizu X8 VS Meizu X16 – Design

The Meizu X8 comes with a premium body design. It has body dimensions of 74.59 mm x 151.19 mm x 7.8 mm, and it weighs 160 gram while the Meizu X16 is built with metal as well, measuring 73.5 mm x 151 mm x 7.5 mm in dimensions. Both phones are available in beautiful colors that include Black, White, Gold, and Blue.

On the front, the Meizu X8 has a large screen size of 6.2 inches Full HD+ with an IPS capacitive touchscreen and a screen resolution of 2220 x 1080 Pixels. The front screen is also protected by a corning gorilla glass, and it has 397 pixels per inch density. On the Meizu 16X, it also does not have a notch; rather it comes with a full view screen size of 6.0-inches FHD+ with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 Pixels. The Meizu 16X is leading with a high pixel per inch density of 402 and is equipped with a Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen for clear visuals.

The Meizu X has a dual rear camera of 12 Megapixels + 5 Megapixels with dual LED flash, and it also shoots 4K videos as well. On the Meizu 16X, you will also get a combo camera setup. The smartphone has rear cameras that consist of 12 Megapixels f/1.8, 1.55 µm + 20 Megapixels 1.0 µm with dual LED flash and it also supports 4K videos and dual LED flash as well. They both have a front facing camera of 20 Megapixels f/2.0, 1080P with Face Unlock Feature, and AI Powered software. On the camera, the Meizu X16 has a bigger sensor than the later, but they will still offer almost the same image quality because the other has a brighter aperture.

On the hardware, the Meizu X8 and the Meizu X16 are powered by Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset and an octa-core processor that clocked at a speed of 2.2 GHz. They both have the same Qualcomm Adreno 616 GPU with 6GB of RAM and onboard storage of 64GB/128GB which you can’t expand further.
Other similarities include 4G LTE network, Type-C USB v2.0 with OTG and Bluetooth v5.0.

Since both phones are offering the same hardware and specifications, it’s just a matter of personal decision. The Meizu X8 has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, while the Meizu 16X has an in-display fingerprint scanner. They also fall under the same price segment, so you have to choose which one you want based on the design.
